10:04 am It took only one delivery in the morning to end Zimbabwe's innings. Muzarabani played a lazy stroke on a widish turning ball, resulting in the tiniest edge, which Shanto sent upstairs for review later. Taijul took the wicket and concluded the innings with a 6-60 bowling figure. Zimbabwe conclude their innings with 227 runs. Sean Williams scored the most runs (67) for Zimbabwe, followed by Nick Welch (54). Tafadzwa Tsiga defended well down the order, but he watched helplessly as his batting partners returned to the dressing room one at a time. We'll return to Bangladesh's batting after a short break.

Taijul Islam to Muzarabani, OUT, Slower through the air short of a length ball turning away sharply outside off, Muzarabani plays the half-hearted dab stroke and the ball goes past the outside edge of the bat, loud appeal turned down by the umpire. Shanto opts to send it upstairs. Ultra Edge appears after sometime, and the Bangladesh players celebrate! There's the spike as the ball passes the bat with extra turn and bounce. And that's the end of Zimbabwe's innings.

The umpires make their way onto the pitch. Taijul is delivering a speech to his teammates at the team huddle. Today in Chattogram, the wind is blowing at 11 km/h and the humidity is 68%. Taijul to start the first over of the day. Slip and silly point in

While the Test match goes on in Chattogram, many are also following the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League finale in Dhaka, between Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club.

9:50 am The weather seems good, and we're eager to get started right away. The visiting team will be upset with how their batting unit faltered after a promising start. Everything now relies on how long the last wicket stand will hold out at the crease.

Shumon: "@Lewin- no worries mate. This is BD we are talking about. We will give you 250 and add 25 as a bonus"

Lewin Zoe : "Greetings from Harare. Zimbabwe, needs to get to 250." Good morning, Zoe. Anything more than 250 will give Zimbabwe an edge. But the bowlers have to step up, especially the spinners.

As highlighted in Mohammad Isam's Match Analysis, Taijul's performance was an appropriate reminder of his importance to this team, especially at home, where Bangladesh relies heavily on its spinners to make breakthroughs. The hosts, on the other hand, will be careful, since finishing off the opposition's tail has been a weakness in recent years. Bangladesh will be desperate not to let Zimbabwe's lower order disappoint them, and they will be looking for quick wickets to secure their lead.

9:30 am Hello, and welcome to Day 2 morning session of the second Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe! Bangladesh would be pleased with the manner they finished Day 1. After Zimbabwe made a good start, it was Taijul Islam who opened the game, unsettling the visitors with a key three-wicket burst late in the day to claim his 16th fifer in a Test Match. His strikes not only pushed Zimbabwe back, but also turned the tide decisively in Bangladesh's advantage coming into today. With Zimbabwe down to one wicket, Bangladesh will be hoping for a quick cleanup this morning to seize control of the Test.

5:20pm That will be all from us for today. We will be back tomorrow, nice and early as Bangladesh look to bowl Zimbabwe out and then plot a response of their own. If you missed out on any of the action on day one, Isam's report is your place to be. Until tomorrow, this is goodbye from Chetan, Harshith, Rashad and myself, Shashwat. Take care, folks!

5:17pm Well and truly Bangladesh's session and that has made this Bangladesh's day too. Taijul weaved his magic post tea and Zimbabwe just did not have any answers to the questions he was posing. Seven wickets fell in the third session and that has put Bangladesh in the box seat, even on a surface that is spinning quite consistently.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, would feel they have let the advantage slip. They were in command after two sessions but the injury to Welch and the subsequent collapse has now left them playing catch-up. This score, of course, could still be competitive and could still give them something to play with but finishing 227-9, after being 161-2 at tea, will sting and will need a stellar effort rectifying tomorrow.
