Sophie Ecclestone is Player of the Match for her 3 for 27 in six overs. "I was asleep [when it rained]. Needed just 10 mins to warm up. Bowling's slowly coming along well."
Nat Sciver-Brunt: "Funny old game, isn't it? The bowlers working it out themselves and coming to me for the fields, brilliant. Bowled better lengths today, made it difficult for their batters. Of course, everyone's trying to catch them, can't fault their efforts, trying to work on it. Negotiating the new ball period and the pressure our openers put them under was brilliant. Excited to get to Durham tomorrow."
Harmanpreet Kaur: "We didn't bat well today. They didn't give us any chance to execute better, credit to them. Toss was very important, overcast conditions, wasn't easy to bat but fought well to set a decent total. Weren't able to get early wickets and put pressure on them. Lot of learnings. Today was an odd day, apart from today's match we've played really good cricket, got to remember that when we go for the next match."
7.16pm The series is level at 1-1 going into Durham on Tuesday. The chase was fairly straightforward for England, made spicy all too briefly only because of a late downpour as we veered towards the 20-over mark. Once they came back on, it was just a matter of time before the series was levelled.
I think I heard Sophie Ecclestone announced as Player of the Match. It's a well-deserved accolade too, her three-for broke the back of India's top order after they were sent in to bat. Barring Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma lower down, there was hardly any fight from the Indian batters as they posted a modest 143.
England's new pair of Jones and Beaumont started well, with a half-century stand before the skipper took over and ran England near the victory target before falling. Then Dunkley saw it off with a boundary to hit the winning runs. Wonder why India didn't bowl Sneh Rana more than the three overs she wa given. Decent game for Charani. The pacers were okay, but not threatening enough on this surface.
