5.10pm Fifties from Breetzke and Stubbs, who shared a 147-run stand, and key knocks from Markram, Rickelton, Brevis and Bosch have powered South Africa to 330 after they were asked to bat first by Harry Brook. There were questions about their batting in the last game, and now there will be questions about their team selection -- mainly the 'fifth bowler' -- as South Africa tore into Bethell and Jacks. However, England did well to rein South Africa in from a position where they looked primed to get to 350. The signs are not great for the hosts if they want to level the series: a chasing team has only scored 300-plus once at Lord's in ODIs, India in the famous 2002 NatWest series final! So they have quite a task ahead of them, on the back of a stunning collapse. How will they respond? Join us in around half an hour for the start of the second innings to find out!
Aamir Malik: "So SA got highest total at lord's in a 50 over game..." -- Yes, by two runs!
KA Maharaj b Archer 1 (4m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50
Maharaj will face the final ball
Snethemba: "Guess that's fair… Archer had Rickelton in the first ODI, but didn't get that wicket. Now he has a wicket he shouldn't really have. All square."
Maharaj is in, but he need not have been. Replays show that the impact was indeed outside off!
