7.32pm Even-stevens, I'd say. India will definitely be pleased with their effort on a day where rain only allowed 64 overs and the ball hooped around almost throughout. Karun Nair showed great tenacity and grit and ends the first day unbeaten on 52 off just 98 balls. With him is Washington Sundar who has looked solid again. England were all over the shop, in particular Jamie Overton and Josh Tongue. The latter though did pick two wicket with absolute jaffas but was wayward all day. India were at one point reduced to 153 for 6 but these two have added an unbroken 51-run stand to take India to 204 for 6 at stumps. England could well be one player short with Chris Woakes going down late in the day with what looked like a dislocated shoulder. There will be more on him once we have details.
