9.32pm At one point, India were 30 for 4 in the powerplay. They slid deeper to 48 for 5 but then Parag and Gill repaired the innings with a 54-run sixth-wicket stand. A cameo from Washington then dragged India towards 140, giving their bowlers something to bowl at on a surface that is offering ripping turn and bounce. Matheesha Pathirana, who had injured his shoulder, did not bowl in this innings, leaving SL relying heavily on their spinners. Debutant Wickramasinghe was also impressive with the ball upfront. SL might need more from him with the bat if they are to chase this down and avoid a 3-0 whitewash. Washington, Bishnoi and Parag, meanwhile, will relish bowling on this pitch. Don't go anywhere. Hemant will be back with you for the start of SL's chase

Jacq: "Every once in a while comes such a pitch that challenges the batsmen so much, and keeps the game alive. I find flat tracks and 200+ scores extremely boring."

Krish: "SL have many great individual players and performances - but they are missing a unified team culture and skills, most notably their fielding"

RajeshBanda : "Only time will tell how crucial the 8th wicket partnership was."

Azweer : "Well played Washi... The runs you added, going to be crucial in SL chase."
