1:03pm Thanks Sidharth. This initial bit of this session was always going to be about declaration batting. And the interest factor lay in the century-race between Pant and Gill. The former got his first, and fell in a bid to attack more. Gill then took his time and eventually got his. The passage of play also gave us a glimpse of a freer Rahul batting, and good that he finished unbeaten. Back shortly with Bangladesh's reply. You can also keep an eye out for Sidharth's innings report here.
1pm Rohit Sharma has declared. And it has brought a big cheer from the crowd. Bangladesh need 515 to win in two days and a half. I hand over to Suds for the rest of the session.

nitin: "Early declaration makes no sense if wicket is playing easy. Let the wicket break a bit, making it easier for the bowlers"

"Are we not missing these prestine drives from Rahul and how we are wishing we don't want see KL Rahul site after Pant's dismissal." Ganga, I stand corrected after those inside-out drives
