5.51pm From 24 for 4 to 263 for 8 ... that's quite the rescue act from England. Under-pinned by Phil Salt's most responsible knock in international cricket, then backed up by Dan Mousley's maiden fifty and the long levers of Overton and Archer. Matthew Forde was again the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, but West Indies were dented by the untimely loss of Romario Shepherd to a freak leg injury. It looks competitive, but Evin Lewis might have other ideas...
Phil Salt: "Glad we got to the position we got to, liked to have got three figures after doing the hard work.Tough against the new ball with variable bounce, got a bit softer, but a defendable score. Got to back-end your innings and give the boys freedom, so pleased with that. And for Jof to come back here and put on a show like that. Get a few and we're right amongst it."
Alan will be here for the resumption shortly.
One ball to go... England have a very competitive score on the board... or do they?
