12.22pm: The match has been abandoned due to rain and that means India have qualified for the semi-finals because of higher seeding. It was a stop and start game with a few rain interruptions. After a delayed toss when Malaysia opted to bowl first, India raced to 173 in 15-overs-a-side contest, thanks to Shafali, Rodrigues and Richa. Malaysia would have liked to show some fight but two balls into the chase, rain halted the game and eventually, forced the match to be called off.

11.25am: Richa Ghosh's entertaining 21* off 7 takes India to a massive 173 for 2 in 15 overs in the rain-hit game. Shafali Verma top-scored with 67 and Jemimah Rodrigues at No.3 scored a 29-ball 47. Malaysia were sloppy on the field after opting to bowl first and leaked runs easily. India definitely the favourites to win the match after the first innings.
