3:27pm So, India huff and puff their way to 116, which might seem a little light, considering they were 89-1 just before the 15-over mark. They had gotten up to that score courtesy of Mandhana and Rodrigues, who ticked along nicely and found the fence whenever Sri Lanka bowled loose deliveries. Once Mandhana departed, though, India just collapsed, mustering 27 runs in the final five overs and losing five wickets.

While India's batting in that phase left plenty to be desired, credit must also be given to Sri Lanka. They used the conditions well, bowled into the surface and denied the batters any width. Ranaweera was the tidiest of their spinners, with left-arm pacer Prabodhani returning at the death and picking up two wickets.

Sri Lanka will be happy having restricted India to 116. This surface, though, is starting to slow up and several balls have elicited a puff of dust. India are definitely not out of the contest and have the resources to defend this, although Sri Lanka, at this stage, might just be the happier bunch. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!
