Despite losing Mandhana early, India got off to a strong start and seemed likely to score more than 150 runs. Verma, Kaur, and Bhatia's solid innings and few missed opportunities assisted in maintaining the team on track throughout the innings. However, Bangladesh made a stunning comeback and held them below 150 when Kaur and Bhatia left. With the ball in hand, Rabeya Khan was excellent and claimed three crucial wickets. Marufa also bowled brilliantly in both ends of the innings.
