5.20pm This match had it all and in quick time. From that recovery led by Brook and Pope's 174-run stand at better than a run a ball. Bethell and Ben Duckett both falling in the 90s helping to set up England's mammoth lead with a 187-run partnership before Joe Root's century in the second innings. Gus Atkinson took a hat-trick and Tom Blundell made a much-needed century - there was something for everyone. England fans can take away a whole lot more than their NZ counterparts, however. 5.00pm Player of the Match is Harry Brook for his century in the first innings and fifty in the second. He says of the victory: "Unbelieveble. It's extremely windy today so the toil the boys put in bowling into the wind was exceptional and to get it done in three days is extra sweet.

Tom Latham, New Zealand captain: "We're obviously hurting. It's disappointing to lose in that fashion. When you only put up 120-odd in the first innings, you're on the back foot."

Latham is also full of praise for Brook: "You look down that scorecard, there's one guy who took it way from us. Well played to him. The guys tried really hard, not doubting the effort the guys put in. They (England) put us under pressure. Not ideal. We came here with hopes today of putting up some good partnerships but losing three or four early put us on the back foot again."

Ben Stokes also has huge praise for Brook and Ollie Pope for their first-innings partnership and youngster Jacob Bethell, who fell just short of a century England's second innings. "Amazing to be stood here winning the series after being 40 for 4 on day one. The way Harry Brook and Olllie Pope played on day one set up this game for us... Jacob Bethell has certainly shown us what he's about and shown the world what he's about."

"The bowling performance through the first two matches has been exceptional. Bash today, he did one of those jobs for the team bowling into that ridiculous wind. The way New Zealand came after him and he kept a smile on his face and kept bowling and bowling shows his character."

4.51pm England's largest victory by runs against New Zealand, it's a thrashing, completed well inside three days. Tom Blundell with a century and Nathan Smith's entertaining 42 offered up some resistance but, with so much time left in the match and a record 583-run chase required, it was all too much.

Ben Stokes ended with 3 for 5 off 2.2 overs cleaning up the tail. Chris Woakes set it up with two early wickets while Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir chimed in with two wickets apiece and Gus Atkinson one.
