That's all for tonight! A day's gap and we get going with the World Cup proper. Hope to have your company for that. Till then, ciao! Adios!

9:51pm Time for presentation

Shadab Khan: "Result is not important. We took a lot of positives. Our attitude was good, result not in our hands. I think our 11 is sorted, we just wanted to give time to the bench to show their skills. When you play against Australia and New Zealand, you get confidence. We got a little bit experience of conditions [in Hyderabad]. [On Hyderabadi biryani] We are eating it daily, and perhaps that is why we are getting a bit slow (laughs)."

Pat Cummins: "First game just a few days away, we are looking in better frame. Mitch Marsh has bowled well, same with Maxi and Starc. Just about everyone contributed in the middle, Green and Inglis were brilliant at the end. We'll have a couple of sessions when we get in Chennai."

David Warner: "It is like playing in front of home crowd. Good to see supporters. Good warm-up for both teams. Captain asked me if I want to bowl, I said if the team needs me I would do it. For the batters time in the middle, hitting the ball out of the middle. Glenn Maxwell having time in the middle was fantastic. I am extremely happy, in good place and playing freely."

nabeel: "Any reasons why Babar did not come out to bat again as no. 11 as he was retired but not out?" He was retired out

9:40pm Easy win eventually for Australia but plenty of positives to take away for Pakistan. Iftikhar's returns would really be happy headache. Will this knock make Pakistan rethink their No. 4 for this World Cup? Questions, though, remain for Pakistan with respect to their opening combination. Imam looked good, Fakhar attacked but yet again fell early. Babar showed his class after walking in down the order. If not for Australia pressing their part-timers in, this game could have ended earlier.

In the afternoon, Australia gave a good account of their batting. Warner and Marsh exploded at the top, Labuschagne played a breezy little innings before Maxwell and Inglis - with assistance from Green - provided the perfect finish. They made complete use of the flat track in Hyderabad and Pakistan will only hope that having played both warm-ups here would end up in their favour.

Hasan : "Any reason why Md. Haris is not being sent in? He did keep wickets, right? I would imagine, he would need to get his eye in and feel the ball go off his bat" He would only come into picture as a batter when one player is ruled out as he is part of reserves
