8.40pm An unbeaten partnership of 141 with Tilak only contributing 31. Gaikwad accelerated beautifully, moving swiftly from 21 off 21 balls to eventually scoring 123 in 57 balls. Australia didn't help their own cause either with the struggling Hardie going for aplenty in his second spell and the Maxwell 20th over not paying off. Ellis' slower balls and Behrendorff's 1-12 were the standout bowling performances from Australia, but the others leaked so many runs that their performances are mere footnotes for now.
Be back soon with the chase. Lets take a moment to soak that innings in. Amazing hitting. This is the second-highest T20I score by an Indian and India become the first T20I team to hit a hat-trick of 200+ scores.
Vinay : "210 in 16 overs if you remove Behrendorff. Insane. How good were those 4 overs."
Afeef: "That was some sensational hitting for Ruturaj. He scored 102 runs in his last 36 balls."
