sudesh: "Considering the situation WI have some defendable score. If they do show some application, they may win this match."
12.53pm So West Indies are bowled out for 243, in what is a fighting total but probably under par considering the favourable batting conditions. But that they have even that much is down to Keacy Carty's 96-ball 87, though that too might not have been, had a straightforward chance been taken when he was on 8. But he made his second-chance count, stringing together stands of 41, 32, 63 and 25 after West Indies had found themselves at first 81 for 5, and then 123 for 7. Sri Lanka would drop three chances in total, but it was an otherwise consummate outing in the field. Maheesh Theekshana was once more the star, picking up yet another 4-for to cripple the West Indies batting line-up after Johnson Charles (39) had got them off to a flyer. Each of Sri Lanka's five other bowlers used picked up at least a wicket as well. This was also incidentally the first time a team had gotten past the 40 overs or indeed the 200-mark against Sri Lanka this tournament. Will this be enough though to hand Sri Lanka their first loss of the tournament? Stay tuned as Shashwat will be with you shortly for the start of the chase.

Surath: "Carty deserves a 100 here! He single handedly got West Indies to a respectable total. Get to 250 and they can put SL under lot of trouble "
Sri Lanka still behind the overrate, so they will be penalised if they don't pick the final wicket in this over.

Molby: "On a serious note, West Indies does need to understand the importance of playing full 50 overs, which has been the main downfall and the decline of the current West Indies team"
