Steve: "This should be chasable, when 6 players in one innings have got into the 20's it says the pitch is a good one. Scotland's best hope is the pressure of the situation of being favourites gets to Zim (like it did in the T20 qualfiers). That said, being married to a Zimbabwean, come on Zimbabwe!!"

Jono: "Imo Scotland have posted a competitive score given the pitch conditions. They batted to a plan and lasted the 50 overs which Zimbabwe didn't do v SL.Zimbabwe will have to bat well, and hopefully it will be one of the younger less experienced batsmen who take the responsibility of getting them across the line. "

Chandra: "@Chandan, totally agree with you. ICC' mistake this. 10 teams not enough for WC"

MC: "We bat deep, plus the 12th man. Come on Zimbabwe!"

sanju: "@chandan could not agree more, teams may not prefer meeting NED especially after their super over win against WI"

12.30pm So both teams have something to be happy about at the end of that innings. Zimbabwe bowled really well throughout, giving very little away, but Scotland managed to take 82 runs off the final 10 overs (54 in the last five) which has provided their bowlers with some runs to work with. Sean Williams was the pick of the bowlers, with figures of 3 for 41 in a rare 10-over outing. Chatara was expensive but picked up 2 for 46 in seven overs. Scotland had six batters reach at least 20, but their highest score was Michael Leask's 48. The wicket itself was probably the least batter friendly of the tournament, with the ball tending not to come on to the bat all that well, and Zimbabwe exploited it well. The chase won't be straightforward but Zimbabwe do have form and experience in their batting to run this down. It's a must-win game though, and pressure does tend to do funny things. Rvel will be with you in a bit for the start of the chase.

Ngarava to Watt, 1 bye, skips down the track and misses the big swing. But they run a bye to Gumbie, who misses the throw at the stumps. Scotland end on 234 for 8!

chandan: "Seeing the quality and competitiveness of the associate nations, its really harsh that only 2 teams qualify for the main draw. SL,NED, ZIM, SCO all 4 deserve to go through." Agreed.
