12.50 pm Who had their money on USA taking 10 wickets against West Indies? That too despite dropping at least four chances. USA's new ball pair of Phillip and Netravalkar bowled superbly in the Powerplay to pin West Indies down at 14 for 2. Charles and Hope then constructed a century stand to put USA in control. Steven Taylor was the catalyst to bring USA back into the match with his spell of offspin and ended with 3 for 53 in eight overs, inducing some poor shots to lure West Indies into throwing away their wickets. Netravalkar and Phillip then come back at the death and have given USA some faint hope of chasing this down by wiping out the tail short of 300. It could have been even lower than that if not for some woeful drops, the most egregious off Holder when he was on 24 (and again a few balls later on 27) and went on to make 56.
USA's all-time highest successful chase was hauling down a target of 280 just a few months ago in Namibia against Namibia at the Cricket World Cup Qualifier Playoff. They'd need to better that by 18 runs today. Can they do it? Stay tuned for the reply when Shashwat Kumar returns to the central commentary position.

Phillip will stay over the wicket to the lefty Hosein.
West Indies have five balls to see off. Can they get past 300 or will USA bowl them out? Or both? Or neither? Akeal Hosein enters as the last man.
JO Holder c Aaron Jones b Phillip 56 (40b 2x4 3x6) SR: 140.00

Singh and Netravalkar are bowled out. Who to bowl the 50th? It's going to be... Kyle Phillip for his 10th. Not really known as a great death bowler.
