1.35pm So, we should have a thrilling chase on our hands. India's spinners will likely play a big role in deciding how it turns out, given what Samson said about the pitch. Join Sudarshanan in 20 minutes or so to find out how it goes!

Is Indian table tennis poised for glory at the Asian Games once more? Here's how Ultimate Table Tennis can serve the sport's needs in India, with an eye on the future.

1.30pm After two games on a difficult track in Bridgetown, India batters have enjoyed the good conditions here and posted a huge total of 351. Rapid fifties from Kishan and Samson ensured they were always going at a good run rate, while Gill played anchor. A few wickets in the middle forced a slowdown, but Hardik's 52-ball 70 ensured India finished strong.

Here's what Sanju Samson had to say: "I think it feels really great to spend some time in the middle and score some runs and contribute for the country. It was deliberate. I had plans differently for different bowlers. I wanted to use my feet and dominate the lengths of the bowlers. [On playing different positions] Being an Indian cricketer is a challenging thing. I have been around for 8-9 years and played a lot of domestic cricket and for India. So it gives you an understanding of playing in different positions. You need to prepare yourself accordingly. Kensington Oval was a bit damp and this one looks a bit dry and when the ball was new it was coming on nicely but when the ball got old, it was holding on a little so it was tough against spinners. Not easy to get the score so credit goes to the middle order batters for hanging on and getting the score we did. With 350, we should be confident."

Shepherd to Pandya, 2 runs, Full on off and he hits it down the ground. Seales runs across but has he stopped that? He kept it out but the ball was rolling back. Does he keeps his balance as he falls over to dig it out again? Looks like he has done really well to keep this from going for four, but the batters took two, meaning India have crossed 350!
