7:41pm So, New Zealand make their way up to 166, which on a surface that has looked a little two-paced, seems a good score. Chapman and Young led the way with fifties and when they were going strong, it seemed the Kiwis would breach the 175-run mark. They lost both in relatively quick succession, though and that took a bit of momentum out of their innings, until Santner popped up with an 11-ball 20 to take NZ past the 160-mark.
UAE, meanwhile, will be happy with how they pulled things back, especially considering how ominous it was looking when Chapman and Young were at the crease. Siddique was the star of the show, picking up three wickets. He could have had Santner too had DRS been in play (but that is a discussion for another day). Zahoor also held his nerve well at the end, alongside Jawadullah and they would fancy their chances of chasing this down.
At the half-way stage, both teams will be quietly pleased with where they are placed. NZ have runs on the board, UAE have good memories of chasing against this bowling attack. Which way will this game sway? Join us in a bit to find out!
Ahmed Raza, UAE assistant coach: (On the score) It is about a par score. This wicket has played better. Our bowlers did well to pull it back. (On the pitch) The bounce was a lot more consistent. Our fast bowlers did fantastically on that wicket. (On the batting plan) It is all about partnerships, knowing your roles, knowing your match-ups and playing less dot balls.
Santner on strike. Can he finish with a boundary?
Ravindra joins Santner. Can he find the fence in the two balls that remain?

Right. 154 on the board already. How many more can NZ get from here? Zahoor tasked with bowling the last over

UAE will have to be careful about these twos. They have been guilty of conceding too many of these in this series, especially towards the end
Mid off, extra cover, point and fine leg in the circle
Zahoor returns, perhaps to bowl the 18th and the 20th over

Santner in at 6. In Neesham's absence, he has to step up for NZ in these last few overs. Siddique to bowl over the wicket
