12.55pm Litton Das is handed the trophy and he takes it to his team as they pose with it. Bangladesh will be very happy with how they went in Mirpur. Anyway, that's all the action from Mirpur. These two teams will now move to Chattogram for three ODIs before they play a two-match T20I series. Isam's report will be up soon. Also, don't forget to catch the action in the Ashes later in the day! This is Abhimanyu, signing off on behalf of Srinidhi, Ekanth, Rvel, Ranjith and Vairavan.
The winning captain, Litton Das: "The weather was very hot. It's not easy to play in this heat. Credit goes to our batsmen. Shanto batted well in both innings, Joy also and Zakir in the second innings. [On the pace-friendly pitch] We have good quality pace bowlers and spinners also.
Najmul Hossain Shanto is the player of the match. Here's what he has to say: "First of all, I am very happy because we won this match and the way I batted, I am very happy. We were talking about this after I got my hundred. He [Mominul] said 'welcome aboard'. As a player we need to perform in all formats. I was very clear in all my plans. I need to work very hard in the future and keep up my batting form."
Here's Hashmatullah Shahidi, and this is not verbatim: "Feeling good. Just had a scan and it's clear. It didn't go our way from the start of the match. We had some positives. Nijat did really good. But the thing was we played after a long break in Test cricket. As much as we play, we will learn. As much as we play, we will improve in Test cricket."
12/43pm Time for the presentation ceremony to begin!
CK: "Where does this win stand in the history of Test Cricket in terms of winning by most runs?" This is the third biggest win ever in terms of runs!
12.22pm Thanks Srinidhi. That was wrapped up in quick time by Bangladesh. They prepared a pitch for fast bowlers, and Bangladesh's pace battery did not disappoint at all! Ebadot, Taskin and Shoriful all impressed in the match.
12.14pm A dramatic last over from Taskin comes to an end. He missed out on a five-wicket haul but never mind, Bangladesh will be happy to walk away with a massive 546-run win over Afghanistan in the one-off Test in Dhaka. Shanto scored back-to-back hundreds, Mominul found his rhythm and notched up a confident century in the second innings, Ebadot, Shoriful and Taskin were excellent with the ball to restrict the visitors to 146 and 115 for 9 in the match. It was ably supported by Taijul and Mehidy.
Afghanistan were barely in the game. Their best session came on day 2, when their bowlers picked up 5 wickets for 20 runs to bowl Bangladesh out for 382. However, they were inconsistent with the ball in terms of line and length and struggled to bring the same energy on the field on day 3 when Bangladesh piled on more misery and put on 425 runs on board to get a mammoth 661-run lead. This is just their seventh Test overall and that's what lack of matches can do to a team.
Time to welcome Abhimanyu for the post-match presentation
Zahir Khan retired not out 4 (11m 6b 1x4 0x6) SR: 66.66
Aktaruzzaman Jo: "It took just one innings for the superstar to get back in shape. Beautiful bowling Taskin."
They will have extra 15 mins in the session, not 30
Four slips, gully
"They didn't use the bouncer for the sake of using it. They have come a long way and I am very pleased"
