Plenty of records broken, mainly by Gurbaz and Zadran. Apart from their record partnership for their country, they also became the first pair of openers to score centuries in the same game for Afghanistan. This is also the third highest ODI total for Afghanistan and Gurbaz's 145, which came off 125 deliveries, is the second-highest ODI score by an Afghan batter. Plenty more action to come today. Join Ekanth soon for the start of the chase!
6.10pm So the 256-run stand, Afghanistan's highest partnership in ODIs, between Gurbaz and Zadran set Afghanistan up for a big total, but once Shakib broke that stand, the Afghan batters were all in a hurry to get out. Ibrahim Zadran stayed steady and reached his century but was out right after as he tried to take on the bowling. Bangladesh will be happy with the comeback they made, but their target is ten more than their biggest ever chase. Another point of concern for Bangladesh will be the injury to Ebadot Hossain, who twisted his knee after his run-up was disrupted while bowling his final over.
Here's what Rahmanullah Gurbaz has to say (and this is not verbatim): "After 3-4 matches I didn't score, I was hungry for a score. I always try to score but luck was against me, but today luck was with me. I always try to enjoy my innings. I think it's a batting pitch. I worked hard in the last few days on my balance and position. Today I was 100 per cent focussed. I can give credit to captain and coach for backing me in hard situations. Even if I don't score, they always back me. I think we have enough runs on the board. We could have done a little bit more. But we have a good bowling attack so we will be happy."

Farooqi in. Can he get Nabi on strike for the last three balls?

So, Bangladesh will have to pull off their highest ever chase now to win this. 322 was the record for them earlier

Mujeeb is out, but one would think that Nabi is going to be key for Afghanistan if they want to get to 330

A A Musabbir : "Is Pitch start to offer turn? How this pitch is playing now? Will Batting 2nd be more difficult or it will remain same as first innings?" Shakib in his last few overs was getting some turn and grip, as was Mehidy. So Rashid and Co. may be licking their lips
The Fizz, over the wicket
