So the final-wicket fun is over. And Steven Smith runs off the pad up. That partnership was frustrating for Australia, but overall it's a good performance to keep West Indies to 188 on what looks a good batting surface. Can Shamar Joseph take the confidence from his innings into the bowling, and will Kraigg Brathwaite be tempted to hand him the new ball? I'll be back in a few minutes to find out

sanju: "Brathwaite wanted his bowlers to imitate the line and lengths of Aamer Jamal, looks like their bowlers started following his batting and last wicket partnership techniques as well!"
Donnybrook: "is it just me or do we have a problem in bowling to tail enders. We do such good work to contain the top order and then seem to serve up more pies than a bakery to the tail. With the shorter form experience we have am struggling to understand why this has been so expensive recently..."

Cameron: "So is there no day-night test for Australia this summer?" Next week in Brisbane
Ahan: "This is where Pat Cummins and Australia's brain turns into a tiny puddle of cat food. When the tail starts going beserk."
The captain takes it upon himself to finish things off
Hello again, everyone. That was a rather unexpected twist. How many more can this last pair add?
Ian: "Is that really 59 overs bowled in 2 sessions with 5 quicks and nine wickets falling? Why can we do it today and not other times?" We have already had an extra half an hour!

3:10pm Australia's session again but West Indies have survived it! Six wickets lost, 113 runs scored. Hazlewood and Cummins struck regular blows throughout the session, before the last pair got stuck. They have batted 64 balls so far and have added 44, with Joseph providing the runs as well as the entertainment. What this ensues is that Steven Smith will have to rush - after whenever West Indies get bowled out - to pad up and open the batting for the first time in Test cricket. How long before that sight? We shall find out shortly with Gnasher.
Craig: "Given the Windies 10th wicket is having lots of fun, I don't imagine it's really an all-out-under-200 kind of pitch? " It never was. Australia are just too good for West Indies.
raffi-paul: "excellent bit of tail-wagging...jolly good show"
Last ball before tea... Lyon taking his time
