Commentator: Rvel Z

It's been a grim display from London Spirit, who stepped on the wrong foot and kept slipping with the bat. There were plenty of erratic shots and a clear sense of heightened and needless urgency in their approach, as they scrapped their way to a below-par total -- one that never posed a significant threat. It only needed one solid partnership to take the game away and that came in the form of Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland, who joined hands to finish it off in a canter. The start of the chase was a bit shaky but the two seasoned campaigners put the innings back on track in no time, scripting a massive win at such a critical stage of the tournament. They now climb to second place on the table. Earlier, Ballinger, Cross, Sutherland, Smith and Carey all put in a splendid effort with the ball, hardly offering any free-scoring opportunities. Spirit collapsed like a house of cards, much of it due to their own undoing

Phoebe Litchfield, Match Hero: We just knew we could take our time and get used to the surface. We weren't far off in the last game...today, we were ruthless. The girls set it up beautifully with the ball and made it easier for us batters, as we could afford a few dot balls. I just try to adjust to the line and length when I need to switch and know when to bail out if necessary.

Gray to Litchfield, FOUR, around the wicket, short of a length and skidding on at off, she shuffles across and ramps it away to precision, beats fine leg and gets her team over the line.

Wong to Sutherland, SIX, low full-toss on the pads, loads up and, kerplunk, whacks it to deep midwicket for half a dozen runs. That was insolent in style, plants her front leg and then went for a massive swing, got the distance
