Marizanne Kapp, Match Hero: We didn't start the tournament the way we wanted to but it feels like we've got some momentum now. Hopefully, we can keep improving. Actually, I get annoyed when I panic⊠it was definitely a different pitch, especially compared to what we're used to playing on. Capsey's innings was brilliant ; it allowed me to just knock it around and adapt. (On the roles in the team) We like to do things in a certain way, and it works for us. I feel like different people are stepping up at different times and hopefully we can bring it all together in the next few games
The Invincibles had the game under control from the word go and defended the total clinically, with Marizanne Kapp striking at key moments -- removing Beaumont and Elwiss on balls 42 and 43. Sophia Smale chipped in with three while Amanda-Jade was superb with her smiley leg-spin, picking up two scalps. Alice Capsey rounded things off with a couple of wickets as well, making light work of the defence. Sophia Dunkley was the lone ranger, and without any substantial support, she couldn't do all of the taxing work. It was a struggle for the rest on a slow pitch where spin thrived. Earlier, Meg Lanning and Alice Capsey unleashed a magnificent onslaught to defibrillate the innings after a sedate start. Marizanne Kapp remained unbeaten on 47 while Wellington delivered the coup de grĂące with a quickfire 17. A truly excellent all-round performance and the Invincibles look like they have all bases covered as the tournament moves into its business end. Welsh Fire, on the other hand, need a massive turnaround to stay alive in the competition. They need belief, better strategy and more players stepping up to get their first win on the board. Now, you may switch over to the men's game. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid
