Phoenix were chasing a big total and needed some insane hitting to stay in the hunt. Kapp and Wellington were excellent with their spells, keeping a lid on the scoring and effectively cutting off scoring options as Phoenix fell 22 runs short of the target. Earlier, Lauren Winfield and Meg Lanning set a solid base to launch from and Alice Capsey - the match hero - struck a sparkling fifty with a barrage of boundaries with Paige Scholfield finishing the innings with her fireworks to post an almost impregnable total. From there, the bowlers stepped up to the plate. Though a few fielding lapses cost them some extra runs, they never seemed in real danger of letting the game slip away. Thanks for following our coverage, goodbye for now, see you all again!

Alice Capsey, Match Hero: Nice to get a win on the board. One of our reflections from the last game was that we bat deep. Two big names really took the game on and kept the pressure on. The pitch is known to offer more grip and turn but it played pretty nicely today. We can take a lot of confidence going back home. I do love playing at the Oval

Farrant to Kalis, FOUR, touch short and floating wide of off, cuts it silkily behind backward point for a four, bit of intent and aggression earlier could have taken this game down to the wire but it was always going to be a daunting task chasing such an imposing total

Farrant to Kalis, FOUR, dropped short and wide, makes room and thwacks a cut in front of point for a sizzling boundary, waited patiently on the backfoot and timed it to perfection
