Player of the Match, Beth Mooney: "It got a bit tight in the end. The oval did really well to get it that close. Obviously, Paige [Scholfield] at the end with that six certainly made me work hard for that win as a skipper. But just happy to hit something out in the middle and get a few points. [Top order batting] It's one game of short-form cricket. It's really hard to judge a team and some players in one innings. You can't really get too high or too low in this format. It can change pretty quickly. But I was really pleased that Bryce came out and hit the ball like she did. She's an excellent player and can match it with the best in the world. So to see a take on Kapp like that was awesome. And that can happen in short form. You sort of fall away a bit, lose a few wickets, and the game can get quite big on you. So I was just happy that we hung in there today and got a defendable total. It's sometimes difficult when you don't get too much of the strike, but that's just the nature of this format. You can get stuck at the end. I thought they bowled well up front; the ball was doing enough to make you second-guess yourself, but when I'm at my best, I'm not really thinking about it and hopefully can hit some out of the middle, and there are a few more in me for the rest of the tournament. I've seen Meg [Lanning] win a lot of games chasing totals like that. So there's always a little bit of fear in you when she's out there hitting the ball like that. She's been an amazing player for a number of years and, unfortunately, doesn't get to play on the same team as her own franchise cricket. But as a fan of the game, it's really nice to see her out there with a smile on her face and hitting the ball like she is. But glad we got that catch at the end."

1:40 pm The Oval Invincibles started their chase strong and looked like they would easily win, but things got very tense at the end! It was a thrilling match! The Invincibles began with a bang, hitting four boundaries in the first two sets. Both opening batters were sharp, hitting loose balls for boundaries and rotating the strike well. Lauren Winfield-Hill made 33 runs off 25 balls before being bowled out by a great delivery from Kerr. Meg Lanning continued her excellent form, scoring 56 runs off 42 balls. However, the Originals' bowlers stayed calm in the final overs, keeping their team in the game right to the very last ball. Bryce, Kerr, and Ecclestone each took one wicket.

Amelia Kerr got a hand to it while tracking back, but went over the ropes and could not collect it cleanly to toss it inside!
