"I aged another ten years," says Invincibles captain Dane van Niekerk after the thrilling win. "We have an experienced batting line-up and [games like one against Welsh Fire] are one off. Glad we got the monkey off the back and got the win. Always easy when Capsey hits the balls like that. Made it easy for me. We let the pitch dictate what we do last game. I'd rather go out and take the game on, we [Capsey and DvN] completed each other. Felt the margins were small with the pace bowlers. Ryana came to me and said I am taking it away from Dottin's arc and that, for me, is maturity beyond her years."

5:45pm A fantastic win for Invincibles to get off the bottom of the pile. This is a victory in pure Invincibles style - bat well, bowl well and field fantastically well. And two young guns from England are the architects of their win today. If it was Capsey's blitz with the bat early on en route a fantastic half-century, MacDonald-Gay showed wisdom far beyond her years to hold her own with the ball and pick up a four-wicket haul. Never let the Originals batters get away, not even an on song Dottin.
