5:50pm Right. That will be that from us for this game. The action in the Hundred, though, does not stop anytime soon. The opening fixture of the men's competition, featuring the Southern Brave and the Trent Rockets is a little over half an hour away. Do join us for that too. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Chandan, Thilak and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Goodbye and take care!
5:40pm A commanding all-round display by Southern Brave to begin their campaign. Their batters set up the game, with Mandhana registering a half-century and Bouchier and Wyatt playing very useful cameos. Tryon also lived up to her billing at the death, before giving away just 19 runs in 20 balls in the second innings. 18-year-old Mary Taylor, entrusted with bowling the tough overs, stood up, scalping three wickets and only giving away 18 runs.
Plenty to ponder for the Rockets, though. They were all over the shop with the ball inside the field restrictions, and looked out of sorts during that phase with the bat. Their run-chase got off to the worst start possible with a run out off the first ball and things went downhill after that. Their decision to hold back NSB and Kaur, even as the asking rate kept climbing, was also questionable. NSB, continuing her recent international form, did find the fence with some regularity in the middle phase but by then, the Rockets were fighting a lost cause.
Brown to close out the innings. King on strike
