12:45pm So, the Fire have huffed and puffed their way to 111. During the powerplay, it felt they were primed for a much bigger total, with Dunkley timing the ball exceptionally. But the middle overs brought a slow-down and the Fire could not break out of that funk. Elwiss top-scored with 35 but that came at less than a run-a-ball, and they now have only a middling total on the board.

Which, in large part, was down to how well the Brave bowled. They were perhaps guilty of going searching early, but soon figured out the right lines and lengths to bowl.
