An entertaining innings and they never let the momentum drop, attacking from the outset and finishing with an intimidating total. Lauren Winfield and Meg Lanning unleashed a brutal onslaught in the powerplay before Alice Capsey took the baton and smashed a blistering half-century. The tempo never dipped with Paige Scholfield ensuring they posted a massive score. Hannah Baker was the standout bowler, picking up two wickets in her full quota while the pacers were inconsistent and leaked too many extras; which didn't help their cause. Back with the chase in a few minutes

DaWolf: "Third highest women's hundred score of all time. Immense batting!"

Arlott to Gardner, FOUR, third time unlucky, another bumper around the line middle and off, she swivels through the hips to hit it to the right of deep midwicket and finds the gap, ending the innings on a high!

Arlott to Wellington, OUT, Another short ball works like a charm, she has found the recipe for success, tries to get on top of it and only manages to loft it towards mid-on, fielder sprinted in to pouch that at mid-on, just one delivery left and she is on a hattrick

Arlott to Capsey, OUT, over the wicket, tries a bumper around the line off and it works to perfection! She tries to go along her merry way, goes for the pull and finds the fielder at deep square, Baker didn't have to move much to catch that, brilliant contribution, gave the impetus

Arlott to Capsey, FOUR, pulls her length back and angles it across off, she had an eternity to get to the top of the ball and manages to slice it up and over short third for a four, that is seriously good batting and gets to her fifty in some style! making batting look ridiculously easy

Arlott to Capsey, FOUR, over the wicket, rams the yorker but it's not into the blockhole, she is ahead of the bowler, backs away and crunches a square cut past cover-point for a lovely boundary

Sumedh: "Do the men's and women's games use the same pitch or adjacent pitches? Could that explain the relatively low scoring games on the men's side, due to some sort of pitch degradation?" Using the same pitches

Taylor to Scholfield, 1 run, a googly spinning in from a length and follows her leg-side shimmy, pulls it square of midwicket looking a bit ungainly, fruitful set for Incincibles
