Amanda-Jade Wellington: "I thought the pitch was lovely when I got to bowl. Our bowlers did a really good job. Mooney batted really nicely, and hopefully our batters could take a bit of a hint from that. The game plan was really good. When we go about, using the pace of the wicket, so use the bowler's pace and run hard between the wickets, because it is a big boundary, and hopefully we can get the score. I absolutely love the challenge, but I think it's about not getting too ahead of yourself and landing your spot. So I think getting out of that step here area and really getting it into the pitch, I think you use the condition well here to turn to bowling into the pitch. I don't want to give away too much, but I thought we did a really good job. [140 to chase. What do you reckon?] Fingers crossed, but I've got confidence."
Surath: "what happened to Stephanie Taylor? is she injured? or retired from all formats?" She is injured, as far as I can remember.
12:15 pm The Manchester Originals started their batting carefully, as the ball was swinging and bouncing a lot early on. Kathryn Bryce looked good but was bowled by an inswinging ball from Marizanne Kapp. Beth Mooney then took charge, hitting some beautiful shots. She scored 70 runs off 45 balls, setting up a strong score for her team. At one point, it looked like the Originals might score more than 150, but the Oval Invincibles' bowlers did a great job in the final two sets to keep the target down. Kapp finished with two wickets, while Farrant, Franklin, and MacDonald-Gay each took one. We'll be back for the run chase after a short break.
