The former fell for 19 but the latter kicked on, registering a superb fifty that had the Phoenix dreaming of a 160-plus score at one stage. But her dismissal, along with those of Perry and Amy Jones, meant that the Phoenix were pegged back through the middle. Lister and Kelly, however, ensured that that slide was arrested, and both played very handy cameos to take BP close to 150.

The Rockets offered up boundary balls too often, and might be left to rue that in an hour or so from now. There were several boundaries behind square on the leg side, and none of their bowlers were able to apply sustained pressure on the batters.
