Lot of give and take at the Oval. We expected to see Katherine Sciver-Brunt play one last time in her career but a hip injury forced her out of the game. Both teams put up spirited performances to leave sparks behind and end their campaigns. Onto the men's game then, between the same sides and at the same venue. Vithushan Ehantharajah has started live coverage here, check it out. On behalf of Chandan Duorah and M Venkat Raghav, it's me, Ekanth, signing off.
Nadine de Klerk, POTM: It was a great pleasure to play at the Oval. Great to finish off the season with the win. She was hitting the ball beautifully, that's how it works, need to put up a partnership. The team has been great, short time in England, but I'm able to play with legends. Had a great time despite it being short.
5:46pm: Camera pans to Katherine Sciver-Brunt, all smiles, getting hugs and having laughs with her team-mates and support-staff members. It was a dead-rubber but what a great game! Scholfield almost let it slip at the end, almost being the operative word. Nailing the yorker last ball was perfect, it ensured Stonehouse's trio of boundaries at the end didn't got Rockets in touching distance but that was as far as they could get, in the end. Lest we forget, Scholfield's terrific run out of the in-form Lizelle Lee opened up the game. Credit needs to go to Sophia Smale, who took key wickets, including that of Nat Sciver-Brunt. Lee was in full flow with the bat, Nat chipped in with a cameo. Dattani and Stonehouse gave Oval Invincibles a scare but could not take Rockets over the line.
Four needed off the last ball for the tie, five for the win. Long-off brought back in. Off-side infield is covered. Keeper goes back
