Lanning is livid with herself, and this is a crucial breakthrough for the Giants, especially as we move closer to the death overs! 105/3

2.4 Meghna gets Shafali! Full on the pads. Shafali tries to flick it away but cannot keep her stroke down. Comes off the bottom part of the bat and she hits it straight to Wolvaardt at square leg, who makes no mistake! 20/1

6.6 Capsey bites the dust! Full and wide outside off, tempting the drive away from the body. Capsey goes after it but like Shafali, she cannot control her stroke. Slices it and hits it straight down Kanwar's throat at backward point. Vital wicket for the Giants, just before the time-out! 58/2

13.1 Rodrigues falls too! Tossed up on a length just outside off. Rodrigues advances too early and is nowhere close to the pitch of the ball. Swings wildly at it and the ball spoons up off the outside edge towards short third. Pathan makes no mistake, and the Giants have two in very quick succession! 111/4

16.6 Sutherland perishes! Gives it plenty of air on a length outside off. Sutherland, after a quiet over, tries to go big over cow corner. Has to fetch the slog sweep, though, and picks out Gardner to perfection at deep mid wicket. The Giants keep chipping away! 142/6

15.3 Gardner has the last laugh! Fired in quick on a back of a length just outside off. Jonassen tries to crash it through the off side but the ball seems to skid through more than she expects. Feathers it and Mooney gobbles up a sharp chance behind the stumps! 138/5

17.6 holes out to long on, just! Dangles the carrot on a length outside off. Reddy cannot resist the temptation to have a swing at it and comes down the track. Nowhere close to the pitch of the ball, though, and she shanks it towards long on. The ball pops out at the first attempt but Meghna holds onto the rebound. Mooney and Gardner have wry smiles on their faces, and the Giants have their seventh wicket! 146/7

19.6 big appeal, and given! Radha has reviewed, but it will not add anything to the DC total! Fired in full on off stump. Radha looks for the lap but gets into an awkward position. The ball breezes past the bat and hits her flush on the front pad, right in front of middle stump. Umpire Rafi had no qualms and rightly so. No bat involved, and Ball Tracking has the ball thudding into the middle of middle stump! 163/8

4.2 big appeal, and given this time! Darted in full on off stump. Mooney gets down on one knee and swipes across the line. Only swipes at fresh air, though, and gets pinned on the front pad, right in front of middle stump. The umpire thinks about it and eventually raises his finger. Mooney does not bother with the review, and the Giants are two down! 28/2

1.3 cleans her up with an absolute peach! Length delivery that starts on off and boomerangs back into the batter. Wolvaardt does not move her front foot much and has an airy waft at it. The ball sneaks through the gap between bat and pad, and smashes into the top of leg stump. Just the start the Capitals would have wanted; just what the Giants did not need! 0/1

4.5 Jonassen has two in the over, and it is all happening here at the Chinnaswamy! Gives it air outside off and Litchfield's eyes light up. She advances, trying to go over mid off but does not get the elevation she is after. Scuffs it straight to Sutherland and mid off, and the Giants are wobbling now! 34/3

7.6 soft dismissal! Back of a length outside off, and this seems to just stick in the surface. Bounces extra too and Veda cannot get on top of it. Slices it tamely and Pandey pouches a simple catch at backward point. Radha, a couple of overs after dropping Veda, gets rid of her, and the Giants, heading into the time-out, are up against it! 53/4

14.2 Jonassen gets Gardner, and that is a humongous moment in this game! Fires it in on a length outside off, perhaps in anticipation of Gardner coming down the track. Gardner does not cover the line and wafts at it, without being to the pitch of the ball. Zips past the bat and Taniya keeps her eyes on the ball, collecting it cleanly and whipping off the bails thereafter! Hang on...hang on...the third umpire wants to check if Taniya's gloves were behind the stumps before collection. The replays show that they were, and Gardner has to go! 105/6

10.3 another missed sweep, and another batter has been trapped lbw! Much slower on a length on middle and leg. Seems to straighten just a shade and raps Bryce in front. Umpire Parashar Joshi raises his finger but Bryce has taken this upstairs. No bat involved. Ball Tracking coming up now...and it reckons the ball would have clipped the outside of leg stump. Umpire's Call and Bryce has to go! 73/5

16.1 Kanwar bites the dust! Back of a length on middle and leg. Kanwar tries the reverse-paddle again but has no pace to work with. Gets under it too much and chips it straight to Shafali at short third. Another nail hammered into the Giants' coffin! 113/7

17.5 that is dead straight! Slower yorker on middle and off. Pathan, rather ambituously, looks for the sweep and makes a complete meal of it. Gets thumped on the front boot, right in front of middle stump, and no doubt in the umpire's mind. Pathan decides not to review, and that is a wise decision. That was as out as it can get! 123/8
