So the WPL leaves Vadodara with a nail-biting finish this season. Both teams were in the game until the closing stages tonight, but UPW will hope their dropped catches and misfielding don't bite them later in the tournament. They are right at the bottom of the points table after suffering their second loss. It is not yet time to press the panic button - they have another six games remaining to try and climb up - but you never want to leave things for last moment. That was it from us tonight, as the WPL action now moves down south to Bengaluru. Join us in two days' time, as the players enjoy a day's break. Until next time, goodnight and goodbye!
Anna Sutherland is the Player of the Match: "Nice to get a win, and contribute. We did well to pull back in the bowling innings. Just reading the conditions... trying to use the longer boundary. Meg was going pretty well, then Kappy came in and was hitting the ball pretty well. I just try to find out what's working as early as possible. It's tough for bowlers at times. Sometimes it's your day, sometimes it's not."
Meg Lanning, DC captain: "Happy to be on the right side. Much better out there tonight. I felt I was positive from the first ball. Got my footwork going. We had some world-class players out there [in the closing stages of the chase]. I thought we were on for 200 after the first six overs! We pulled it back really nicely. Taking wickets is really important. There's always areas to improve, but I feel this was our best performance of the tournament so far."
Time for the presentations
Malli: "Fielding has cost the game for UPW, nothing more nothing less"
Deepti Sharma, UPW captain: "We lost back-to-back wickets, otherwise the total could have been different. We trusted ourselves as bowling unit. We pulled it back after the powerplay. Only if we'd taken the catches; it's part of the game, though. The result could have been different [had we taken them]. The team is doing well. Even today, 166 was a good total. We want to play good cricket as a team."
10.46pm DC needed to get the last 32 runs off 18 balls, and it could have been anybody's game from there. But the experienced Kapp maintained her composure, and pumped two boundaries off Ecclestone in the 18th over. However, even with another 22 required from the final two overs, you thought UPW were in control. There was another drop catch thereafter, as DC continued to have luck going their way. Eventually, UPW paid the price for poor fielding, and DC made the most of what went their way, with Lanning setting the foundation along with Shafali, and Sutherland and Kapp wrapping this up.
Anish: "Nothing but fielding let the Warriorz down despite very good bowling."
Who's in for a Super Over?!
McGrath to bowl the last over. DC need 11.

A stronger show in the middle order could end up having a say in which way the contest sways
