9pm Some excellent bowling from the Giants pace bowlers and spinners, and they have restricted RCB to their joint-lowest total not too long after RCB had chased down 202 against them in the tournament opener. It started with the early blows of Wyatt-Hodge and Perry (her first duck in 21 WPL innings), followed by Mandhana's and even though Kanika Ahuja and Raghvi Bist rebuilt for a while, the bowling changes, spin bowling, pace variations from Dottin and the yorkers from Kashvee Gautam didn't give RCB to score anything off. Indian fans will be chuffed that Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar conceded under 20 runs in their four overs each which bodes very well for Indian cricket's future. Will Giants drop anchor or bash their way to this modest total? Srinidhi will start the chase to find out...
Kashvee Gautam: "That was the plan, to bowl as many dot balls as possible, and bowl on the stumps, even the slower ones. I'm very happy I could do that. I wanted to stick to my strength of swing bowling, especially early to Smriti di. I try to bowl from wide of the crease to target the stumps and bowl cross-seam as well. (About fielding) I'm still trying to get used to fielding under lights so it led to some fumbles. I think 125 is easily chasable."
Ar Ramesh : "RCB's middle order batting and their end over's bowling is their weakest link ... they need to correct it, to became the champion again .."
Kannadachi : "Way below par display from RCB. Definitely not crowd thrilling batting !"
Dinu: "Leave alone defending the Cup... this RCB team will now go down in net run rate too."
