8:55pm Bryce and Fulmali's 68-run partnership was the standout feature of this innings, and it has taken the Giants up to 126. That, though, was the only bright spot in what was otherwise a dull innings. None of the overseas batters got going, and that pegged the Giants back massively.

A lot going right for the Capitals. Kapp was brilliant in the powerplay again, accounting for Mooney and Wolvaardt. Minnu Mani, who came in for Sadhu, was exceptional in the middle overs and bowled with control, picking up the wickets of Gardner and Litchfield, Pandey also got a couple at the death, with Jonassen also among the wickets.

After reducing the Giants to 48-5, the Capitals might feel they have given up too many runs. That said, this is still very much within their reach and this is most definitely their game to lose at the half-way stage. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Marizanne Kapp: (On her performance) It was not coming out too greatly in the warm-up so a bit surprised with how it came out tonight. It looked a bit sticky at first but it is still a good wicket. Hopefully our batters can chase this score down. I felt it was swinging a little bit more tonight. Was gutted I missed out on the UP Warriorz game and hoping we can play on those types of wickets more (smiles). We were a little sloppy in the field tonight, made 1-2 mistakes. We still have to come out here and bat well. (On how DC are so consistent) It is a good group of players and coaching staff. Everyone seems to get along so well.
