De Kock shaped to pull this short delivery a stump or two outside off, but must have realised that the line is slightly wide-ish for him to play that. And so he looked to stab that last moment, only for the ball to find Worrall on the edge of the circle 58/1

17.4 But Smuts falls next ball! Worrall bowled at a change of pace, and on the shorter side of a length on a wide line outside off. Smuts went pulling hard at it, but the line seemed wide enough for him to not time it well. The ball landed right into the laps of long-on 185/3

1.2 skied to mid-on! The fielder only had to move a few steps to his left, before taking it with a reverse cup. Again Rossington looked to launch at this length ball, but the length this time was fuller, and the line straighter too. The ball ended up ballooning miles up, with the fielder having to keep his eyes on it for long 11/1

2.5 lifted to mid-off! There were four dots in a row, and Hermann falls looking for a bit shot. Simple catch for Maharaj, who almost takes it too casually. Topley went on a fullish length around off, as Hermann looked to loft, but mistimed it entirely, perhaps beaten by the pace 13/2

12.2 very good catch by Klaasen! He moved to his left, and dived forward to take it just above the grass. Abell looked to make room, and he also skipped down to loft this length ball around middle and leg. But this time he cannot time the inside-out shot ably - no pun intended - and finds the fielder 114/4

11.3 bowled him! Smuts takes off in delight, as Markram's middle and leg stumps are shaken. Smuts angled this in, landing it on a length and on a stump-to-stump line. The ball was tossed up, and as it dipped, Markram danced down to try and heave. But he was beaten, and Smuts broke a solid stand 106/3

19.3 fires in a length ball and he appeals for lbw. The umpire raises his finger immediately, even as Stubbs reviews while walking back. It pitched on a length on middle and leg, and angled in to hit his front leg, which is slightly outside leg. Stubbs looked to swing but missed, and replays show the ball would have hit the leg stump 189/8

13.6 another one for Smuts! This kept a little low too, as this one hit middle and off stumps. Jansen was skipping down the pitch at this length ball, which pretty much went on straight after pitching around middle and off. Jansen looked to slog across the line, but was beaten 129/5

17.3 low full toss on the stumps, and whipped to deep midwicket! And, and... there's a run-out too. This is what happened: Topley bowled a yorker-length ball on middle, which Stubbs swung across the line to deep midwicket. They completed the first, and just as Stubbs turned around to take the second, he was hit by the bowler's right leg. Stubbs' initial expression was that of him getting seriously injured, but that wasn't the case, even as Swanepoel was halfway down the crease, running himself out in the end 168/6

18.1 taken at deep point! Dawson falls now. Gleeson bowls on a short of a length, and pretty wide of off. Dawson went slashing at it away from his body, and though he hit powerfully, it wasn't enough to clear the substitute fielder on the rope 175/7

19.5 sliced to short third! Simple catch for Topley right in front of his chest. A yorker-length ball on fourth stump, as Worrall opened the face of his bat to guide that, but ended up chipping it to the fielder 189/9
