That's all the action from us today, guys. Thank you for tuning in. I'm Rashad, signing off on behalf of the ESPNcricinfo staff. Adios!
Aiden Markram is the Player of the Match
Sunrisers Eastern Cape earns bonus points and wins their third game in a row! The Eastern Cape bowling team got off to a great start by taking Will Jacks' wicket in the opening over of the game. Verreynne was dropped in the first slip region, although it did not prove pricey later on. The Capitals' batsmen struggled throughout the innings, being bowled out for only 97 runs. Jansen was unplayable in the powerplay, bowling with raw speed and bounce, and the Capitals lost their fourth wicket. Keagan Lion-Cachet looked solid in his debut match but unable to capitalise on the occasion as wickets fell often on the opposite side of the crease. In front of the home fans, the team bowled and fielded properly. Dawson was also excellent with the ball in hand, keeping the length and line tight throughout the innings and taking three wickets. Jansen was the standout bowler tonight, picking up four wickets while allowing only 13 runs.
Afeef: "SEC are making a proper comeback. They can still make it a hat-trick of trophies."
