Scorer: Raghav | Commentator: Ekanth and Danyal
Pretoria Capitals, in the second game of the evening, will bowl first against Joburg Super Kings. Catch it there, thanks for tuning in. On behalf of Danyal and Raghav, I'm Ekanth. See ya!
Marco Jansen, POTM: Obviously, didn't think it'd turn out the way it did but I'm happy it did. (On being asked whether the knock at the SCG built confidence) Definitely, whether it's red ball or white ball, I think if you spend time at the wicket, it will give you confidence. (On him getting the better of Rashid) Well, it's only one day (laughs), but he's a world-class bowler. Luckily, today, it went my way. (On being asked if he targeted Rashid) At that stage, we had to make a plan, we had to pick one bowler. After the first ball went for six, I just decided to see what happens and try and go with it. [On the MarKohli flat-bat shot off Rabada (16.6)] I don't know what happened there, I just told myself, "just look at the ball", and if it's there, just go with it.
syed: "Hatssssssssss offffffffffffffffffffff what a inning by *MARKOHLI* Jansen..... best ever show by a pacer against Mr, Rashid Khan best in the business "
Jack: "Pat Cummins in IPL, Marco Jansen today.. MI and heartbreaks "
Yugeesha Bimsar: "While I was absolutely blown away by the Marco Jansen innings, it was be added that Rashid and Curran has been well below par in the tournament till date. Essentially with all the hype around the bowling attack, Rashid and Curran have really got a hammeringâŠ"
5pm: Okay, it's over. Take a breath, a few deep ones, one at a time. Unless the excitement is still high, scream your lungs out, that was amazing! Jansen was MarKohli, MarBradman, MarRussell, everything you could have imagined and more some! His slog sweeps to Rashid, that straight shot off Rabada, the smart maneuvering against Archer, everything was sensational. He couldn't finish it off but deserves to all the praise for his hitting. Archer was amazing with the ball early on, Potgieter and Smith got 23 off MI Cape Town's final over but all that matters is that it's Marco Jansen's world and we're living in it.
All fielders up, just deep forward square leg out
Noor: "Regardless of the result, this innings of Jansen has to be one of the best in T20 franchise history. To make these many runs against Rabada, Archer, Rashid Khan when your side needs 70 to win off the last 6 overs. Wow just wow."
Afeef: "One of the best T20 knocks I've seen in recent times. Smashing Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada in a tense chase, simply sensational."
Scores tied. One off four
luke: "van de merwe executed well the orders from the dressing room, just give the strike to Markohli Jansen"
