9:28pm Phew! I still need a bit of time to catch my breath. The action in the SA20, though, does not stop. MI Cape Town will be taking on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the afternoon fixture tomorrow, with these two teams (the Capitals and the Super Kings) at it again in the evening. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Binoy George and everyone at ESPNcricinfo! Goodbye, goodnight and take care!

9:25pm That was an epic game of cricket - a game that ebbed, flowed, ebbed, flowed, and ultimately ended in the Super Kings' favour. They began well, sending Jacks and Rossouw back in the powerplay. Salt threatened to disrupt their plans but the hosts kept picking up wickets, even as the Capitals stayed within touching distance of the required run rate. In the end, though, the Capitals just did not have enough batters to capitalise on the quick scoring earlier in the innings. Credit must also be given to how the Super Kings held their nerve. They only had 42 runs to defend in the final five overs, yet, emerged victorious by six runs.

For the Super Kings, du Plooy was the star of the show earlier in the day. Phangiso, too, provided another glimpse of his prowess, picking up a four-wicket haul, which included the crucial scalp of Neesham. In many ways, that wicket turned the tide of the game. Had Neesham been a little more cautious after hitting three successive sixes, things could have panned out different. Cricket, though, is always a game of what ifs and indulging in that tonight will be doing a disservice to what has been a spectacular game!

Shepherd to Nortje, OUT, Super Kings win! Look at the Super Kings go! Slower delivery dug into the track outside off stump. Nortje comes down the track and swings wildly, but only in vain! And that is well inside the tramlines too! In fact, Nortje has nicked that through to the keeper! The Super Kings have held their nerve here, and have send thousands of fans at the Wanderers into absolute delirium!

7 off 1 now. A six needed to tie things up. Surely not a Super Over? Nortje to face the final ball of the innings (barring any wides and No balls, of course)

Shepherd to Rashid, OUT, in the air and taken at long off! Back of a length delivery outside off stump. Rashid looks to smash it over long off but is slightly late on the stroke. The ball pings off the splice towards du Plessis, who eats up ground to his right and holds onto a clutch catch!

Shepherd to Rashid, 2 runs, back of a length delivery outside off stump. Rashid shuffles across and slices it over extra cover before galloping across for a brace

9 needed off 3. Surely the Super Kings will back themselves to get this done now?

Shepherd to Rashid, no run, slower delivery on a back of a length outside off stump. Rashid swings himself off his feet but only connects with fresh air

Rashid on strike. Can he pull another rabbit (or maximum) out of the hat here?

Shepherd to Parnell, 1 run, slower delivery on a length on leg stump. Parnell swipes at it and squirts it down to short fine leg for just a single

Shepherd to Parnell, no run, slower bumper on leg stump. Parnell does not pick the variation and swings too early. Does not make the contact he desires as the ball bobbles towards the bowler

10 needed off the final over. Shepherd to bowl
