Durban's Super Giants made a solid start, scoring 39 runs in the first 5 overs, but lost QDK's wicket. Then, due to a catastrophic mixup between Williamson and Breetzke, the latter batter was run out. Stoinis went for a duck in the following over, edged to the slip fielder. Williamson and Klaasen gradually rebuilt the innings, keeping the Super Giants on pace. Mulder joined the crease after Williamson's exit and provided excellent assistance for Klaasen. Klaasen hit his second fifty of the tournament and lasted at the crease till the finish, scoring 76 runs off 47 balls. Klaasen had a touch of luck early in his innings, when the ball nibbled off the off stump but the bails did not move. Mulder also delivered a crucial knock of 30 runs off 22 balls. Mulder and Klaasen's death over batting was superb, particularly in the 19th over, where they scored 23 runs. Viljoen picked up two wickets, while Sipamla took one. We'll return for the second innings after a short break.
