7:05 pm Joburg Super Kings lost their opener Conway in the third over of the innings, bowled out by an excellent arm delivery. The spinners ran through the JSK batting order, taking four wickets in the opening seven overs. On a sluggish pitch, the spinners held their line and length tight. JSK hitters scampered to score runs and hit boundaries throughout the innings except the death overs. Bairstow led the innings single-handedly in the middle, with assistance from Makhaynya and subsequently Ferreira. He scored fifty and smashed three sixes in the 19th over against Maphaka. Ferreira had a stunning cameo of 32 runs off 19 balls, closing the innings with a boundary. The JSK squad received a tremendous lift in the death overs, scoring 65 runs in the final five overs and changing the momentum of the game. The spinners bowled superbly today, with Fortuin grabbing up two wickets. We'll be back for the second innings soon after a little break.
