2:47pm An action-packed innings and the Capitals have helped themselves to what looks like a massive total. Gurbaz did a lot of the early lifting alongside Smeed. Verreynne then stepped up through the back half of the middle overs and ensured the momentum did not drop, before Neesham added the finishing touches, which included a 24-run final over.
A tough day at the office overall for the Royals. They were good in patches but were unable to string together such passages often. Mujeeb was the standout and he went at just seven runs per over. The others, though, all went at ten or more, meaning that they now have a steep chase in front of them. Join us in a bit for the chase!
Dayyaan Galiem: The nature of this wicket is normally a lot of runs, it is a really good wicket. Important for us to be smart. Good score but we are going to take it down, just need good partnerships. The ground is quite small too and partnerships are key.
