6.25pm: Match abandoned! There's been a complete flip-reverse at SuperSport Park, and the players are now shaking hands. It seems as if there might have been a couple of close calls in the warm-ups - Rahmanullah Gurbaz was being treated by the boundary rope, and one of the Capitals coaches almost went over during a fielding drill - and the umpires have decided to err on the side of caution, given the limited window left for play
Seems a sensible call, given it's early in the tournament. Thanks for sticking around to keep us company through the showers. We'll be back for more tomorrow. Bye!
6.10pm: We are going to get a 5-overs-a-side game, starting at 6.36pm. Seems that they are confident the outfield will play okay. So get strapped in for a pint-sized tonk-a-thon! DSG winning the toss more than three hours ago looking all the more significant now
5.55pm: Stumps are in the ground. But whether rest of the arena is fit isn't such a simple question. Still around 40 minutes left to play with in order to get a Five5 game going
Here's Odinlass: "On broadcast, the outfield looks really damp with brown patches visible. I doubt we will get any play today."
5.50pm: They are slowly peeling the covers away from the middle, for now the skies above SuperSport Park remain clear. It looks like the playing surface has absorbed an awful lot of water over the last couple of hours, so the question of player safety will doubtless be to the fore when the umpires make their call
5.35pm: Some more news, this time of the good variety: the rain has stopped and they are attempting a clean-up operation. Already the players are out and looking to get warm. Signs seem encouraging - so long as they can get the pitch fit to play. Looks like quite a lot of water squelching out from beneath the super sopper, which suggests it's still pretty damp out there
5.05pm: Some news: the official cut-off time for this game is 6.36pm for a 5-overs-per-side contest. So we have about 90 minutes left to play with - but no sign that the weather is clearing up in Centurion, as yet
"Can you please say when will start losing overs? I really want that Gurbaz play all the overs." Pretty sure we have lost plenty already, Hamdard
4.44pm: Better off following a different sport for a while. Can I tempt you with the sharp end of Tamworth vs Spurs in the FA Cup?
Theunis: "I'm at the ground and as a local it is a very light lingering cloud. Lets hope it clears up soon"
4.20pm: Tick tock ... or should that be drip, drop... still a good crowd hanging around the ground, but no movement on those covers. Time for another brew.
Ravi: "Meanwhile in the BPL, Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan are torching the opposition, as both have scored centuries as an opening partnership and are unbeaten." Good grief, will you look at that...
3.52pm: No news for the moment. It's damp. The main covers are very definitely still in place, and glistening under the floodlights. The drainage at Centurion is excellent, but it is still raining for now, so no prospect of a mop-up just yet.
Ray Endoff: "Rain rain go away! I was excited to see sixes rain down not water!!"
Minnie V: "As a proud Pretorian I'm hoping for a few things today. 1) the rain goes away and 2) The Capitals pile on the runs before Klaasen puts on a show!" He made a two-ball duck in their last meeting two days ago... in the end, it didn't cost Durban...
3.35pm: We should obviously have been underway by now, but it still looks pretty damp around SuperSport Park. No official word on what sort of delay we are looking at... but we'll hopefully have something more positive to tell you soon
3.20pm: The officials have been out to have a look, rain still falling but it seems to have eased off a touch. There's already a good crowd in on the grass banks, and they are currently making light of the drizzly conditions
Afir stinnsline: "What a brilliant last game. Surely you can't get better than that! PC will still be wondering how they didn't win! Need a stronger performance from the middle order who need to take more responsibility." It was certainly a cracking finish, though Pretoria will probably feel it could have gone better for them
3.10pm: Okay, so we've managed a toss - but doesn't look like things will be starting on time, as the covers are on and the rain is falling. Could be a lengthy wait, going by the puddles already forming on the outfield. Sit tight
2.50pm: DSG win the toss and bowl, they're not keen on another nerve-shredding defence and want to be the ones chasing this afternoon - particularly with the threat of rain around. Changes on both sides, from the looks of it: Steve Stolk and Kyle Simmonds are replaced by Marques Ackerman and Migael Pretorius in the home XI, while Super Giants have Brandon King, Jason Smith and Junior Dala in for Bryce Parsons, Kane Williamson and Dwaine Pretorius. Sounds like Williamson has suffered an injury
Pretoria Capitals 1 Will Jacks, 2 Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), 3 Kyle Verreynne, 4 Rilee Rossouw (capt), 5 Liam Livingstone, 6 Marques Ackerman, 7 Jimmy Neesham, 8 Senuran Muthusamy, 9 Migael Pretorius, 10 Eathan Bosch, 11 Daryn Dupavillion
Durban's Super Giants 1 Brandon King, 2 Matthew Breetzke, 3 Quinton de Kock., 4 Wiaan Mulder, 5 Heinrich Klaasen (wk), 6 Jason Smith, 7 Chris Woakes, 8 Keshav Maharaj (capt), 9 Naveen-ul-Haq, 10 Junior Dala, 11 Noor Ahmed
2.30pm: Roll up, roll up. It's time for another slice of SA20 action. After their ding dong in Durban on Friday night, Capitals and Super Giants will go again up on the veld - weather permitting, that is, with the suggestion of some rain around in Centurion. DSG took the points in the opening encounter, despite Pretoria pair Will Jacks and Rahmanullah Gurbaz strumming out an opening stand of 154 in 12 overs. Another win here would take Keshav Maharaj's side top of the early standings
