4:06pm An astonishing innings, set up by Rickelton and van der Dussen. The latter smashed a sumptuous hundred, while the former finished with 98. They used the dimensions to their advantage as well, and produced a display of hitting that will be right up there with the best, throughout this tournament.
MICT, though, did not get the finishing kick they were after, managing only 45 in the final five overs. The JSK bowlers came back well towards the end, but their display was largely patchy, which is not a surprise given how many runs they shipped prior to it. Their fielding was not great either.
Not sure if anyone in the JSK camp is going to quip that MICT are 10-15 runs short - after the way they finished - but the hosts certainly have a mountain to climb. If they are to get there, though, this will have been some run-chase. Join us in a bit for the second innings!
Ryan Rickelton: To be out there with Rassie, it was special to be out there with my mate. When Rassie got out, we wanted a bit more of a partnership. (On what he is doing different) I have changed a few technical things but it is mostly about the mindset, trying to take the game on. Hopefully it can continue. (On if the score is enough) It better be (smiles). The ball came on nicely and it might probably get better under lights.
