6:58pm A very peculiar innings comes to an end. The Super Kings began like a runaway train, with du Plessis dominating the powerplay. He blazed away to a 19-ball fifty and the visitors looked primed for a score in excess of 180. Once du Plessis fell, though, the Super Kings lost their way completely. They lost 7 wickets for 26 runs in the middle overs and that allowed the Capitals to tighten their grip on the game.
Speaking of the Capitals, well, they would be delighted with how this innings has turned out. They have a very chaseable target in front of them, and they might even be backing themselves to get a bonus point tonight. The hosts are certainly the happier of the two sides at the half-way stage and barring anything extraordinary, should get the job done. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
James Neesham: That was good fun. It was a strange innings. It felt we would be chasing 230-240 after the first six overs. Very happy to be chasing this score. I think it was a really good wicket with the new ball. It came on nicely.
