7:09pm The Royals, despite their strong batting unit on paper, could not quite get going. Roy struggled for much of his vigil, as did Morgan towards the end. In between, Buttler and Miller tried their best to get them to a score in excess of 150 but MI Cape Town's bowling was just too hot to handle at times. Archer, returning to competitive cricket after almost 17 months, was the star of the show, picking up a three-wicket haul. Stone was not bad either, scalping a couple of wickets and ensuring that the Royals did not get away. Duan Jansen, too, was impressive, using his height and left-arm angle to good effect.
The wicket is not very conducive to stroke-making, meaning that the Royals are not completely out of it yet. But with just 142 on the board, you'd certainly want to be in the MI Cape Town camp at the half-way stage. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
