11.35pm So that will be a wrap from us today. Texas Super Kings boost their chances to finish in the top two, although Washington Freedom consolidated at the top of the table with a win over LA Knight Riders earlier today. There will also be a mid-tournament roster shake-up, with Pat Cummins and Lungi Ngidi among the few players joining their respective franchises. On behalf of Andrew McGlashan and Binoy George, this is Abhimanyu signing off.

11.25pm Time for the presentation ceremony

Texas Super Kings skipper Faf du Plessis: "Thought it was a good pitch. Been playing here for the last few games, I thought that was the best pitch, especially up front. If we could plan to slow down scoring
[On Stoinis] Just the allround capabilities. Last year we had quite a few guys who were batsmen but didn't bowl. But he potentially gives four overs which is absolute gold in T20 cricket. [Zia and Mohsin] Both of them have been outstanding for us. To have local guys do well, it's incredible."

The player of the match is Rashid Khan: "It would have been great to have been on the winning side but it was all about going out there with a positive mindset and score as much as possible. It's a tight tournament so you never know the role the NRR will play going forward. It's more about the belief you have. The team management has also given me the opportunity to bat at No. 7 so they expect some runs from me. Just need to back myself and have a strong base, that makes it easier, and lots of practice. It definitely helps against familiar faces. We faced DJ in the nets during the T20 World Cup as well."

MI New York captain Kieron Pollard: "I thought it was well done by the bowlers. They got off to a good start but the way the guys bowled in the back half to keep them to 176 was great. [On his slow start] We had just lost three wickets and we did not need to take risks at that point. [Local players] It's about keeping on trying different things. Not a lot of games to go but we'll see what happens."

11.15pm What a spectacular effort that was from Rashid Khan and Monank Patel, but in the end, an all round display from Texas Super Kings is rewarded with the win. Faf du Plessis led the way with the bat, helped by Devon Conway. MI New York then came back strong with the ball to restrict Super Kings to 176. But with the ball, Super Kings were even more devastating in the powerplay, with Marcus Stoinis and Zia-ul-Haq leaving New York reeling. Rashid and Monank's 97-run then gave them a glimmer of hope, but Stoinis, Bravo and co. sealed the win in the end.

Marcus Stoinis: "Nice to be involved. Definitely things I could have done better but nice to get the win. I sort of have an understanding of how many balls I might face in the innings so I can plan how it goes, depending on who is coming in, etc so it's a moving target. With the new ball, it's a new role. Nice to win this one and have four days to recuperate."

Stoinis to Boult, FOUR, Boult swings at a full delivery and gets an inside edge fine on the leg side but it's Texas Super Kings who finish with the two points

Stoinis to Patel, OUT, Mohsin finally holds on to one! He had dropped Monank when he was on 9, this time he takes the catch. Monank has been ramping a few times today and plays that again but this time it's pace off and doesn't get enough distance on it. Mohsin takes it running back. He will feel relieved his drop earlier on did not cost his team the game, despite Monank going on to add heaps of runs

Stoinis to Patel, SIX, Monank Patel is still not done here! This is short outside off and he pulls this well over deep midwicket

Mohan: "The bowling coach of Afghanistan bowling to one of the greatest of Afghanistan cricket team! "

KG Rabada comes in. Texas have won the game, should they not bowl extras!

Stoinis to Rashid Khan, OUT, Goes for his trademark snake shot, but picks out deep midwicket! This is on a full length around leg, Rashid is moving leg side as he tries to flick it, but this time he doesn't get the distance he would have wanted. Stoinis applauds Rashid as he walks off. That was an applause-worthy knock!
