There's a light drizzle in the air but we're getting on with the action as the openers step out into the middle

The rope is being dragged along the ground to clear up the rainwater. Plunkett and Couch are warming up

We Will Rock You' echoes through the stadium. This song really packs a punch, eh?

Everyone has sprung to life all of a sudden. The umpires are out, covers are being folded, stumps are being placed back onto the pitch and a couple of players along with Mark Boucher and Mitchell McClenaghan can be seen on the field. Talks are ongoing and it looks like we'll have a restart time soon

21:29: Ground staff have come out and are checking the covers and starting to unpeel them, which is good news. We'll keep you posted as we get further updates

20:58: Well, we dodged the thick clouds for the first innings but it has started to tip down now and the pitch is covered for the moment. Let's hope it's not a lengthy delay. The weather radar shows the rain will continue for another fifteen minutes, according to Danny Morrison

Mustafa Moudi : "Talking about Associate Nations, I truly wish 3-4 sides comes up to become serious Contenders to win the T20 WC. Presently, Cricket is just a 5 Teams Sport (India and SENA Teams) as others are far away from those 5. While Test snd ODIs are tough, T20 is the only format where newbies can have some chance to grow and these T20 Leagues plays a major role in development of players coming from those teams !!"

Aashin Patwari: "We in Missouri are screening this game live in a sports bar to support our local talent Ugarkar who has bowled exceptional today. Hope his effort today gets a result with rain staying away!! Regardless go Rushil!!" Oh, that is fantastic!

Gerd: "Watching from Auckland, NZ. Rain bucketing down here, should be over in an hour or so. It's hard to side with a team in this day and age, as they are all transient, rather than built on history. So - supporting MINY with Boult and Bracewell. Sorry Ben Lister."

Karthik Sundara: "From Irving, TX, 10 miles from the stadium. It is pouring out now. I am surprised no rain at Grand Prairie stadium.. "

Abid: "A Pakistani cricket fan, supporting Unicorns from a cool winter noon in Sydney, do I need to name the reason? Obviously, Rauf's team."

Jordan : "Watching from New York City. Supporting MI NY. Good to see the USA bowlers pick up some wickets."

avi: "Speaking of Associate cricket - who else is excited for the Nepal vs West Indies T20 series this September?" I like to see Nepal in action. Their players are so passionate about the game and play with their hearts on their sleeves. There's plenty of talent there for sure

After a horrible start, a late recovery from Cooper Connolly, Brody Couch and mainly Xavier Bartlett gave them something to fight with but the early dent may prove too costly. Without Haris Rauf, someone else will need to rise to the occasion and create early panic to stay alive in the contest. Trent Boult and Nosthush Kenjige were phenomenal in the powerplay, helping keep a lid on the score. Wickets kept falling at frequent intervals and there was no real innings of note. Rushil Ugarkar was spot on with his variations, came in the middle overs and snapped up three wickets, going at six runs per over. It was a superb bowling effort but they might feel they could have wrapped it up earlier and gave a little breathing space by not going for the kill

Sheldon: "Following from Trinidsd and Tobago, home of Nicky P and Pollard. Go MINY " Trinidad and Tobago are on my travel list, mostly for the beaches!

king: "following from Paris. 03:40 am. tired'' Says the one who sent the same message seven times :)

sbkrish: "From Seattle : Not following the MLC2025 after our home team Seattle Orcas did not qualify for the playoffs. My favorite is always Orcas irrespective of whether they are playing or not ."

Daniel: "Hey there! I'm also from NZ a fine sunny day today. Go NZ players!"
