Trent Boult: "It was good fun, nice to see the ball swinging around. Always want to bowl four in a row. But obviously it wasn't the role tonight, but I thought the boys bowled very well. 150-odd is a good score, but obviously some hard work should be done with the bat. [The first ball] Danny [Morrison] would have enjoyed that. I'm sure he likes the first ball to be on the mark, and I could almost hear him from the commentary box. [To Russell] Didn't say much. Never say too much to him. He's got me many times, but I was very, very happy to see him come out and face the new ball. Normally, he's taking me apart in lower down the order. So nice to give one day. A do-or-die game. We need to obviously chase this very well. Half the job is done, and the boys have been batting very, very well recently, so I'm backing them to go and get them."

Spandan : "did narine not bat because of injury. seems like same reason why he missed a few games" I also have the same assumption; he has been batting down the order throughout the season and is also struggling with the injury.

9:16 pm What a dramatic turn of events for the Los Angeles Knight Riders! They went from a dismal start, reeling at 3-29 in the Powerplay thanks to a Trent Boult masterclass that saw stumps flying and key wickets fall, to posting a formidable total above 150. This incredible recovery was almost entirely due to Sherfane Rutherford, who played an exceptional, career-best innings of 86 off just 44 balls. He reached his fifty in a blistering 22 deliveries, seemingly batting on a completely different pitch than his struggling teammates. While Boult ended with four wickets and Pollard bagged two, the MI New York's fielding was subpar with dropped catches and misfields, allowing the Knight Riders to capitalise despite a late-innings boundary drought.

Pollard to Ali Khan, no run, another slower delivery kept low, wide outside off, swing and a miss. An excellent last over from Pollard.
